SIZE: Our Bernedoodles come in three different sizes. Medium & Ultra Bernedoodles are 40-60lbs. Mini Bernedoodles are 25-40lb, and our Micro Bernedoodles are 15-25lbs. One of our goals in appearance is a stocky balanced & square frame with blocky Teddy Bear face. All of our Bernedoodles are at least 20% Bernese with the NEW Ultra Bernedoodles maintaining over 50% Bernese at a multigen level, meaning the truest Bernese temperaments and looks!

COAT: Combining a shedding breed- Bernese Mountain Dog, with a non-shedding breed- Poodle, creates a low-shedding Doodle coat. Each subsequent generation has the opportunity to improve coat and other traits. We have worked for years to create our multigenerational or "Multigen" Bernedoodle program, combining the best Doodle x Doodle parents. This further improves coat quality (nonshedding!) along with health, structure, temperament, and COLOR! We have straight/wavy, & curly coated puppies.

TEMPERAMENT: Loving, playful, goofy, & social. Bernedoodles are a wonderful family dog and are great with kids! The combined qualities of the loyal and low energy Bernese Mountain Dog with the outgoing and clever poodle make for a dreamy Doodle! They are sweet-natured, athletic yet easy going, & reliable around children and other pets. They are considered low-average energy level and can sometimes be "selective listeners" (like a Bernese) so proper & consistent training is recommended.

FUN FACTS: Bernedoodles were our second breed here at Sunny Ridge beginning in 2017. They are low-drive and blend well into family life. They have grown in popularity in recent years and are one of our top requested Doodles!

Price Range

$2,500 - $6,500. The classic Tuxedo marked wavy/straight coated puppies in Tricolor, Merle Tricolor, or Red & White start at $5,000. Puppies under $5,000 may be curly, Parti or excessive white, Phantom (black & tan, little to no white). Our pricing reflects how closely a puppy's genetics and appearance meet our program goals. It is not a reflection of temperament, health, or overall quality.
