Our Policies

Sunny Ridge Doodles is owned and operated by one family. Any and all communication whether its email, text/phone call, Instagram, or website is 100% with me, Kelly. No partners, no assistants, no runaround! All puppies are born and raised here in our home at our Ranch. Our puppies are the first thing we tend to when we roll out of bed in the morning, and the last thing we tend to before our heads hit the pillow. It's a FULL time 24/7 job!

I do my very best to make myself available to all new puppy families, those with a reserved puppy, and all families who've brought their puppy home - for life!

Text is the best way to reach me, and calls can be scheduled after a Puppy Application is submitted. Please allow a few days for a reply, as we occasionally take personal days for our family or get behind on inquiries during high volume periods. I am reachable almost any day & time, but I prefer to be present for our kids when they are home after school. Below are our preferred hours for appointments & communication during the School Year. Our kids are in sports year-round and there may be additional days/hours I'm unavailable.

• Sunday - Private Appointments 9am-12pm, Calls & Texts 9am- 5pm

PLEASE READ: Its of utmost importance for us as parents and professionals to protect not only ourselves and our children, but also our adult dogs and puppies from communicable disease, injury, and even theft. Therefore, we must limit visits/puppy appointments to our scheduled Litter Meet & Greet/Take Home Days & Private Appointments for puppies who are vaccinated & 8+ weeks old.

All appointments are hosted at our Ranch entrance under the old oak tree where we have a fenced artificial turf play area. These appointments are exclusively for families who have reserved a puppy or appointment with a Puppy Application and the required deposit. The majority of our parent dogs live in Guardian Homes across Southern California as beloved pets. They return to their families before puppies are 8 weeks old and therefore, are not available to meet at these appointments. We do our best to provide descriptions & photos of all our amazing dogs.

Puppies have photos scheduled at 2 weeks old (as a group), and at 5, & 7 weeks old (individually). This schedule best showcases their growth and development for our Wait List families and public view on our website. Proper photo sessions require 2 people and include bathing, blow-drying, photographing, downloading, editing, and posting/sharing. This process can take hours or even days to complete. Sometimes photos gets delayed due to weather, family events, illness, or our kids sports schedule. We appreciate your patience! We are now offering the option to join a Wait List to secure a puppy selection for the specific time of year that works best for you! Each of our 3 Seasons is 5 months long. Any litter born within your chosen Season may be considered with no restrictions to breed, size, color, gender! Click the link below to learn more!

The $500 Deposit reserves the Puppy you want and the exclusive appointment to meet  him/her in person at 8 weeks old at the scheduled Meet & Greet/Take Home Day group appointment. The $500 is credited towards the total listed price of your puppy. By sending a Deposit, you are agreeing to the terms & conditions of sale. Deposits are nonrefundable. Once a deposit is sent, be sure to also notify us via text asap so we can save your contact info under your name & your puppy's ID. Delayed pickups can be arranged and are subject to adjusted terms. Each extra day of board after 9 weeks old is charged at $25. This must be approved, scheduled, & paid in advance. If you attend the Group Meet & Greet appointment and your puppy does not meet your expectations, the deposit can be applied to a different available puppy OR a the following Wait List "Season".

FINAL PAYMENT IS CASH ONLY (no checks or electronic transfer).

Cancelled Reservations - Deposits applied to a specific puppy will remove that puppy from our website and therefore away from public view. We understand circumstances can change suddenly, so if any changes to a puppy's reservation are needed, please let us know as soon as possible! Cancellation of a reservation within 3 days of the scheduled Meet & Greet or private appointment for ANY reason will be considered a "No Show". The deposit is then considered forfeited and will not be transferable to a future puppy or litter. Please make all necessary travel, preparatory, and financial arrangements prior to claiming a puppy. 

All puppies are sold as PETS ONLY with a written and signed Spay & Neuter agreement as part of our contract. Puppies must be altered between 6-10 months old (under 60lbs) or 8-12 months (over 60lbs). This procedure can be delayed for medical reasons or for health benefits, ONLY if discussed and agreed upon with us. Our doodle puppies are NEVER sold with Breeding Rights and are NEVER to be used for "Back Yard" or "Hobby" breeding. If you are not comfortable spaying or neutering your dog within our required time frame, or have any intention of breeding please seek an alternative program to purchase from. Failure to comply with the signed agreement will void the health warranty and possible legal action for breach of contract.

While selections/reservations are done via photos and phone consults, all our puppies are officially purchased in person at the Meet & Greet/Take Home Day group appointment. This very important hour-long appointment allows families the opportunity to get hands on with the puppy they reserved and make final evaluations and decisions. We highly prefer in-person purchases for this reason, but we still work with families all over the US. All sales are final once a puppy leaves our property & care. This includes puppies picked up by a 3rd party (Friend or Family member, Trainer or Flight Nanny). We are always able to accept a returned puppy at any age for any reason, but no refunds will be provided, no exceptions.
